Coffee Table Set Delivery: Cartons, Doorways and Assembly Space

Plan coffee table delivery with packaged dimensions, not just assembled furniture measurements. A three-piece set also needs space for unpacking and assembly. Before ordering, separate three questions: will the cartons reach the room, can you assemble the pieces there, and will all three tables fit their final locations?

Record what the set actually contains

The gray GTUS-3371 listing includes one coffee table and two end tables. Its listed assembled coffee table size is 48 by 24 by 19 inches high; each end table is 24 by 22 by 23 inches high. Those figures describe the finished furniture. They are not verified shipping-carton measurements.

Ask for the missing delivery measurements

Request the carton count, each carton's dimensions and weight, and the delivery service included with the order. Three furniture pieces do not necessarily arrive in three cartons. Do not assume that legs arrive detached, that a carton can be opened before a doorway, or that delivery includes carrying furniture upstairs.

• Record the narrowest clear doorway opening, not the frame's outside width.
• Note turns in corridors and stair landings.
• Check elevator opening and interior dimensions when applicable.
• Identify building delivery hours and access requirements.

Compare the confirmed packaging with the complete route. A carton smaller than the door in one direction may still be unable to turn through the next corner. Obtain help from the delivery provider for an uncertain route rather than relying on a photograph.

Reserve an assembly area

This gray set's listing states that some assembly is required and hardware and instructions are included. Keep enough protected floor space to arrange components and read the supplied steps. Do not invent a tool list, assembly time or lifting plan before checking the actual instructions and package information.

Keep delivery access separate from room fit

After the cartons reach the room, the center table and both side tables still need usable positions. Mark all three assembled footprints at once. Keep room to reach seating and open nearby doors or storage. A coffee table that fits in front of a sofa does not prove that both end tables fit beside it.

Match the model and included pieces with the order, retain the packing list, and document visible damage or missing components before assembly.
