Triangular End Tables: Check the Outline, Not Just Width and Depth

A triangular end table is not automatically a corner table. Its widest measurements, rounded edges and base position determine whether it works beside your seat. Check the actual outline rather than treating width times depth as a fully usable square surface.

Use the coffee and end table planning guide for the room layout, then make this more specific shape check before choosing a table for a tight sofa-side space.

Compare the listed sizes without assuming equal surface area

Model and included pieces Listed overall size, inches Shape to inspect
T600-6: one gray/brown end table Approx. 24.13 W x 24.13 D x 25.13 H Rounded triangular top; separate panel-style base
T642-2: one light brown end table Approx. 22 W x 22 D x 23.88 H Square top over two panel legs

The triangular model is wider and deeper at its listed overall limits, but that does not mean it offers a 24.13-inch square of support. Likewise, dimensions alone do not tell you how much of either top remains accessible after a lamp is placed on it. The product listings do not provide dimensioned tabletop outlines or base footprints.

T600-6 has a rounded triangular stone-look top. The listing gives overall size, not corner angles or a dimensioned top outline.

Check the angle of the space you want to fill

A gap between a sofa and an angled accent chair is different from a right-angle wall corner. Look at where the widest part of the top will sit and which edge faces the person using it. Rotating a triangular table can change which part projects toward a walkway.

Do not assume the T600-6 has a 90-degree corner or fits flush against two walls. Its photograph shows rounded edges, and no exact corner angles are supplied. If a close wall fit is essential, ask for a dimensioned top view before ordering.

Mock up the outer limits, then investigate the shape

Mark the listed overall width and depth on the floor as an initial screening area. This is deliberately a bounding rectangle, not a claim that the table fills every point inside it. Check the rectangle in your intended orientation; if you rotate it, repeat the check rather than assuming the original width still applies.

For a close fit, obtain the actual top outline and base dimensions. Check at tabletop height as well as floor level: a sofa arm, curtain or windowsill can conflict with the top even when the legs fit. Leave the usual routes and moving furniture clear.

T642-2 offers a square-top comparison at approximately 22 W x 22 D x 23.88 H inches. It is sold as one end table.

Choose for the objects and reach you need

A square top provides corners to test for books or a rectangular tray; a rounded triangular edge changes where those objects can sit fully supported. Neither shape is automatically better. Trace your actual lamp base and everyday items, then test their placement against the confirmed tabletop outline.

See side table and lamp sizing for base and shade checks. For a table serving two seats, the shared side table guide adds a two-person reach test.

Keep unknown specifications separate from appearance

The T600-6 photo shows a stone-look top, but appearance does not prove natural stone composition. Ask for clarification if material or care requirements affect your choice. The listed shipping weights are not tabletop load limits, and neither listing supplies the load rating needed to approve a heavy object.
